The Jantar Mantar, in Jaipur, is an astronomical observation site built in the early 18th century. it includes a set of some 20 main fixed instruments. The built by the Rajput king Sawai Jai Singh||. Completed around 1734, it features a collection of 19 district architectural astronomical instruments. As a UNESCO World Heritage Site, it includes the world’s largest stone sundial (the samrat yantra) and is celebrated for brilliantly combining architecture, astronomy, and mathematics. The instruments allow precise naked-eye observations of planetary positions, time, and celestial coordinates. Notable structures include the Laghu Samrat Yantra (small sundial), Ram Yantra (for measuring altitude and azimuth), and the Jai Prakash Yantra. It is considered on the best-preserved and largest historic observatories in India, and several of its massive stone instruments are still fully functional today.

Location & Details: It is conveniently located near the city palace and Hawa Mahal.
