The Jeen Mata Temple, located roughly 35 km from Palsana, Sikar district, in Rajasthan. 1000+ year old historic pilgrimage site dedicated to the Goddess of power (Durga). it is a highly revered as the primary kuldevi (family diety) for various Rajputs, Agarwal, and Brahmin communities. Mughal emperor Aurangzeb wanted to demolish the temple of Jeen Mata and Bhaira ji. But his plans could not be fulfilled. Aurangzeb sent his soldiers to demolish the temple. on coming to know about this, the local people started praying to Jeenmata. After this Jeen Mata showed her miracle. A swarm of bees attacked the Mughal army. The army fled from the sting of bees. It is said that the condition of Aurangzeb himself became very serious, then the emperor accepted his mistake and promised to burn the unbroken lamp to the mother. After this Aurangzeb’s health started improving. This lamp is still glowing in the sacred sanctorium of the Mata.

Ancient Origins: Legend dictates that the Pandavas rebuilt the temple during their exile from Hastinapur. Local folklore says Goddess jeen (born as jayanti) meditated on the near by Kajal Shikhar Peak.

Historical Inscriptions: The surrounding region contains stone inscriptions dating back to 972 AD. An inscriptions on the adjacent Harsh Mountain notes that a ruler named Raja Mohil built the shrine in the 12th century under the reign of Prithviraj Chauhan
